The Centre for anxiety disorders and trauma is a leader in the research of anxiety disorders and their treatment. A routine part of our work is to examine the effectiveness of the treatments we provide and to further develop these treatments. Most of the research we conduct is through the participation of people receiving treatment at CADAT. This research ranges from basic experimental studies of cognitive processes underlying anxiety disorders to randomized controlled trials investigating the effectiveness of new treatments. All people assessed at CADAT are invited to participate in research. Not participating does not affect treatment in any way.
