Substantive posts
Any jobs available at cadat are advertised on NHS jobs. Posts associated with CADAT within the Wellcome Trust Anxiety Disorders Group are advertised on the IoP website.
Training posts
We sometimes have the capacityto offer fixed-term honorary training posts to therapists as part of their Continued Professional Development. Typically this will involve attending CADAT one day per week for 6 to 9 months. In this time therapists will have access to CADAT training materials, including DVDs of workshops and DVDs of actual therapy which we have permission to use for training purposes. Therapists will be expected to see cases under expert clinical supervision. Usually such posts focus on a single anxiety disorder.
For therapists working in King's Health Partners, including therapists working for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, access to these training attachments will be organized by the MAP CAG. This is currently in development. For therapists working outside of King's Health Partners if you are interested in such an honorary attachment at CADAT please contact Directors Nick Grey and David Veale via the main clinic email.
Voluntary posts
From time to time we recruit students to help out with our research. The types of tasks students have been involved with in the past include recruiting participants for studies, interviewing participants, data collection and data entry. This helps enormously with our research. In return you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced therapists, clinical psychologists and research assistants. In some cases it is possible for students to sit in on assessments and treatment sessions which would help you gain an insight into the work we do with at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders & Trauma.
If you would be interested in volunteering at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders & Trauma, please send us a copy of your CV either by post to:
Mrs. Margaret Dakin
Centre for Anxiety Disorders & Trauma
99 Denmark Hill
London SE5 8AZ
Or by e-mail to: Margaret.Dakin@slam.nhs.uk
Please note that that you may not be contacted straight away. This will depend on demand for students with particular skills at certain times. We are not usually able to take volunteers available for periods of less than six months.
